We all have different families. So copying the wording in your best friend's wedding invitation card may not be a good choice, especially if your family structure is different from their's. Wording must be chosen very carefully to convey the correct meaning. Please check with your stationery designer if the wordings are correct, before you approve for printing.
Please note that there are many variations and styles that can be used and the samples given below are only a few of those. The invitation styles according to the religions can also vary depending on your religion's sub culture or community.

RSVP
If you are hosting your wedding reception at a hotel, it is extremely importatnt to request the guests to confirm their participation by carrying the RSVP note with a phone number and/or a name; so you can inform the exact head count to your hotel or banquet manager. Simply add the following phrase at the bottom of the invitation in a smaller font size:

RSVP: 077 XXX XXXX (Shenali)
or
RSVP (Regrets Only): 071 XXX XXXX
(In the above case, those you cannot attend ONLY will inform you)

Times
When auspicious times are used they must be mentioned just after the time indication, especially in Buddhist weddings where Poruwa ceremony is performed. Find sample below.

Invitee Names & Titles
When leaving space for the invitee names it's best to include "Mr. & Mrs./Miss/Dr." titles before the dotted space for convenience of cutting out the unnecessary. For e.g. if you are inviting Mr. & Mrs. Thilak Perera, then you simply cut out the rest of the titles. Special titles such as "Rev." or "Dr." should be added only if your invitee list include a considerable amount of guests with such titles. However you can avoid the inclusion of titles and instead write them as you want according to your invitee list.

When including couple names of invitees, the general format is:

Mr. & Mrs. Thilak Perera (always the husband's name)

When inviting singles or widows, the general format in Mr., Miss or Ms. For e.g:

Mr. Ashen Samaranayake or Miss. Kisholi Kumaradasa

However, these formats are used only in formal writing and if your invitees are close friends or relatives, you can simply use their first names without the titles.
