Nimna Jayawardena started bridal dressing as a hobby soon after her A/L’s. Eventually it turned into a profession with the growth of the busniess and her clientele. In 1997, she opened up her own salon, named "The Brides” at her residence.

She has studied and worked under many experienced top prfoessionals for years. Apart from Bridal Dressing, she has mastered the art of making Cake Structures, Cake Pieces, Floral Arrangements. After undertaking many wedding orders, her close friends and relatives encouraged her to do all the wedding creations at one place. So she opened a showroom for “The Brides” in 2005. Since then she has created beautiful weddings and Nimna proudly says "I execute my duties to the fullest satisfaction of my customers who visits “The Brides” to be made up for their special day.
